Uncommon Commoner's of New York

New York !

Almost everything about it, already said, written, heard and seen. Yet, It's all new every time I read or you see, or someone listens. My perception - New Yorkers are what make this Megalopolis, the most unique, vibrant and crazy city in the World. The common yet unique, fancy yet stylish - New Yorkers.

With most of it's places reckoned as some of the most photographed places on Earth; I take my Camera to a very specific location - The High Line

High Line is an elevated road / track, which has an abandoned rail road. It is basically a pretty patch of green in the Big-Apple. As it's a major tourist attraction, I decided to make some street portraitures, but of only New Yorkers precisely to be found on the High line. Although, it's apparently well established that most of the New Yorkers' are so not from New York.

New York’s street fashion is probably not of the league of Milan or Paris i.e. classy; But it has it’s own charm. To me it is uncommon, stylish, trendy, fancy, bizarre and colorful. Coming from one of the most colorful countries in the world, India, myself; I was inclined to capture this vibrance.

Hundreds of walks in sub-zero temperatures, almost entire High line layout in my head (Esp. from Gansevoort St to 18th St in Meatpacking district) and the uber experience of those little but many confabs; I present a colorful part of New York and it’s crazy New Yorkers.
